Leadership Pipeline Institute (LPI) is a global, research-based leadership development firm that helps organizations build sustainable leadership and specialist pipelines aligned to business strategy by addressing what it truly takes to succeed at each role level.
Grounded in the Leadership Pipeline® methodology, LPI works with organizations to establish clear Leadership and Specialist Pipelines that define how work values, time application, and skills must shift as leaders and specialists move from one level to the next. This role clarity enables more consistent and objective talent decisions across succession planning, assessment, development, performance management.
A cornerstone of our work is the development of Success Portraits®. Success Portraits translate strategy into practical, role-specific expectations by clearly defining the work to be done, the values that guide decisions, the time application required, and the skills needed for success at each leadership and specialist level. This shared language strengthens talent reviews, improves succession conversations, and ensures development investments focus on what drives performance.
LPI is especially focused on one of the most persistent challenges organizations face: ineffective role transitions.
